Privacy & Data
Learning Samurai collects the minimum information needed to make practice useful: accuracy, attempts, and time-on-task. No child logins. No data sales. Deletions on request.
Our approach
- Minimal data philosophy: collect only what supports learning and product quality.
- Opt-in sharing: families and schools choose when summaries are shared.
- Transparency: this page explains, in plain language, what we track and why.
- Control: deletion requests honored — see For Families.
What we collect
Accuracy
Right/wrong by prompt or item set to track practice quality.
Attempts
Tries per item to understand where support helps most.
Time-on-task
Rough session duration to keep practice short and calm.
When adults opt in, we may associate summaries to a class code or school hub for reporting.
What we don’t collect
No ad profiles
We do not sell data or build advertising profiles.
No third-party trackers
No third-party advertising SDKs or pixels in gameplay.
No child logins
Kids play on a single page. No usernames or passwords.
For Families
Optional summaries
You can choose to view simple summaries (accuracy, attempts, time). Nothing is shared publicly.
Delete data
Request deletion any time: Email a deletion request.
For Schools
We provide privacy-safe usage summaries (accuracy, attempts, time-on-task) at the class, school, or zip-code level. These help identify what’s working without creating child accounts. Districts can optionally connect summaries to Data Samurai dashboards.
Security & retention
Storage
Practice data stored securely with access controls for authorized staff only.
Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for summaries and quality. Deletions honored on request.
Cookies
Gameplay avoids third-party ad cookies. Some features may use essential cookies for preferences.
